Do you infect any of your products with any kind of spying software (Spy-Ware).

Absolutely not! We are internet users like yourselves, and understand the annoyance of spyware products. If you have found any spyware to be present in any of our products please let us know about it.
We do not condone the use of spyware and certainly not in our own products. Any spyware placed in our products was not inserted by us.
Can I pay for my software by cheque or cash?

At this time GigaElk Software only allows for payment by credit card. To alow for payments by cash or cheque we would have to send out un-protected versions of our shareware. This means that free availability versions of the software will exist which we would like to avoid.
I can't afford the software/I don't have a credit card. Can I have it for free?

We cannot send free versions of our software as this would mean that free availability versions would exist which we would like to avoid. If free copies of this software are available these can be easily passed from one computer to another without ever being paid for.
If you can get the software for free, why would you buy it from us?
Although to the user this may seem like a pointless argument, from a business standpoint GigaElk software would not be making any money. Without money, we cant run a business and we would be forced to close down.
Can I order custom versions of any of your software? Such as a version of BettaPad with the ability to read text to me (as seen in BiggaPad)?

In some cases this will be considered so please feel free to contact our webmaster and ask for the custom version using our Contact page.
However, you should be aware that depending on the alterations made the custom version may or may not cost more than the original.
If BiggaPad is on its way, should I bother downloading BettaPad?

This depends entirely on what you intend to use the product for. BettaPad can be thought of as a light version of the software as it is smaller and contains less functionality. If you are a frequent user of Notepad for text purposes or HTML, but you don't require much else, then BettaPad is the one for you. It will take less time to download, and will run quicker (though to be honest, you probably wont notice the difference in speed for the two). BiggaPad on the other hand will be a larger download, and contains several extra features not found in BettaPad. If you require the use of a HEX editor (and if you don't know what that is, then you don't need it.) or would like to have your text read aloud to you, or would even like your document spell checked, then BiggaPad is the one for you. Check the current features list on the homepage link to see what BiggaPad currently offers. Remember though, we can create specialized versions of BettaPad for some users. Such as a version with the speech element included. However, depending on which tool we add, the cost may or may not be more than the current selling rate.
I bought BettaPad. Do I have to pay for BiggaPad when it arrives?

Unfortunately yes. Although BiggaPad is based on the BettaPad code, it will not be the same product. BiggaPad will contain all of the features currently available in BettaPad, plus several extras we had to leave out, or we just thought up. It will be a more expensive product (though not by too much) and will not be an upgrade to BettaPad. Users who have purchased BettaPad will still need to purchase BiggaPad.
How do I suggest functions for one of your products?

The best way to suggest a function to add to an existing product is to join the GigaElk Community and reply to one of the suggestion posts.
Can I suggest a program for you to create?

Of course! Here at GigaElk software we want to create software people want, not what we think they want. The best way to suggest a program is to join the GigaElk Community and reply to one of the suggestion posts.

If you find any bugs in the software, then please let us know by sending an e-mail, using our Contact page, detailing the problem. We will endeavor to fix the problem and will inform you when a new version is available.

No. You can download the new version and it should recognize that you have bought the software already.
